Your periscope view is controlled by mouse, try dragging the screen left and right to change the view. Dive to avoid enemy attacks.

Observe and Predict
It’s important that you pay careful attention to how far away enemy ships are, how fast they are moving and their course: this will allow you to figure out the best time to launch a torpedo to hit your target squarely for maximum damage.
